Searching for a corporation?

There are different types of URLs to try.

 

Company name       www.pixar.com        for     Pixar, Inc.

Acronym                www.hp.com            for    Hewlett-Packard

Product                 www.monoply.com    for    Hasbro, Inc.

Slogan                  "just do it"              for     Nike, Inc.

Company symbol    www.mrclean.com    for     Procter & Gamble

 

If you’re not sure the URL belongs to the company, do a www.domaintools.com  search. For example, search for hp.com and see that it is really registered to Hewlett-Packard (and not Hot Pockets).

 

Tracking changes to a company’s website, search by the site’s URL in WayBack Machine www.archive.org. For example, there have been over 1200 changes to the hp.com website dating back to 1996.
